Balinese Beef Strips
Ingredients :
1/2 pounds blade steak
1 medium onion, roughly chopped
1/2 tsp salt
5 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tbsp chopped fresh ginger
3 tbsp vegetable oil
1 cup water
1 tbsp Sambal Hot & Spicy Chili Sauce, optional
2 tsp dark brown sugar, optional
4 tbsp Jakarta Bali Barbeque Sauce
Method :
Cut beef into thin strips. Heat oil in the wok or saucepan and fry the garlic, onion, gingger and Jakarta Sambal Hot & Spicy Sauce over medium heat, stirring constantly, until onion is soft.
Add beef strips and continue to stir and fry until they change color. Add water and Jakarta Bali Barbeque Sauce; cover and simmer gently until beef is tender. Uncover and cook until liquid has almost evaporated. Stir in sugar and salt and serve immediately.
